Located in the heart of Kerrisdale, our 24 hour Operations Centre is the central hub through which all Provident services are provided. In 2005, Provident invested more than $1 Million dollars in this world class control room by installing the most up-to-date and technologically advanced alarm receiving equipment, servers, software and emergency power supplies.

How It Works...
Our Operations Centre is equipped to monitor alarm systems over traditional telephone lines as well as several back-up methods including cellular, BLINK mesh radio and even over the internet.
Beyond alarm monitoring, we also offer remote access control and CCTV management for sites throughout North America.
We operate two complete networks and monitoring systems that run concurrently ensuring that should we have any type of communications or other problem, we always have a live back-up system fully operational. A vast array of back-up batteries as well as Diesel generators ensure that we can operate through the longest of power outages.
In the event of a complete disaster in Vancouver, we also maintain a live connection to an emergency back-up located in another time zone that Provident owns and controls in the event that our Kerrisdale facility was ever unable to operate.
