GPS tracking.   Provident has used GPS in all of our bright yellow patrol vehicles since 1999, which has allowed us a lot of time to perfect our use of tracking technology so that we can ensure our patrol teams are where they are supposed to be, and to maximize our efficiency and team member safety.   GPS technology is integrated into our automated alarm dispatching process so that the alarm signal from your home is sent to the patrol team member who is closest to your location.  

We Record It!

Using sophisticated patrol tracking software, we record, to the second, every visit to your property by our patrol teams.   We can provide detailed reporting that shows exactly when we checked that your back door was locked and when we patrolled the stairwell in your building. It's our sophisticated micro chip technology that records this information generating 100% accurate electronic reports for you. Through integration with our comprehensive client web-portal, myprovident.ca, complete verification of our patrols is available to you 24 hours a day.   Guard1 Plus is our preferred and recommended patrol verification technology.

As early as 1998, we eliminated the use of paper notebooks, reports and pens by all of our patrol staff. Instead, all Provident staff, at all sites used a digital, handheld reporting system designed exclusively for Provident.

In 2004, we began using our custom built web-portal, myprovident.ca, to record all client reports. Beyond the simple abililty to enter response, incident and other reports for sharing with clients, myprovident.ca provides our Team Leaders and Management with sophisticated management capabilities that integrate many of our other systems including alarm monitoring, client key control, GPS tracking and dozens of others.

Our full-time development team is hard at work every day making myprovident.ca a totally comprehensive web portal for our own team members and for our clients.
