Mike Jagger is the Founder and President of Provident Security, a full service security firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Provident employs over 175 people and provides installation, service, monitoring, guard services and guaranteed 5 minute response to more than 4,000 clients.

Mike studied Criminology at both Simon Fraser University and Langara College and is a graduate of the M.I.T. Birthing of Giants program. In 2002, he was the youngest ever recipient of Business in Vancouver Magazine’s 40 under 40 award, as well as named Kerrisdale’s Citizen of the Year by the Kerrisdale Business Association.

Since starting Provident in 1996 using a $500.00 limit on a personal Mastercard, Provident has since been featured in more than 300 local, national and international media stories. In 2006, Provident was named by BC Business Magazine as one of the “25 Best Places to Work in British Columbia”.

Mike is member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO) and is on the Advisory Panel for both Langara College’s Criminal Justice program as well as BCIT’s alarm technician program. He is also a Board Member of the Kerrisdale Business Association.
