Last week’s seminar was a great success.

We had standing room only for the seminar and about a dozen people stayed on for a tour of our 24 hour Operations Centre.

Our next seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24th … click here to get details and RSVP.

Miss604, a Vancouver blogger, liveblogged last week’s seminar… you can read her notes from it by clicking here.

Here are a few of the comments that we have received about past seminars…

“The presentation was interesting, flowed, Mike clearly demonstrated expertise…there was a substantial emphasis on basic security.”

“[as a result of attending the seminar] I have a far better understanding of how one protects their home and that really it starts with the homeowners.”

” getting even more confidence in Provident”

“I particularly liked reiteration of the information about how to delay a burglar for 5 minutes. The tour of the operations facility was very interesting and confidence building”.

“I felt at ease. Information was useful.”

“I found it interesting and informative and I’m sure others would as well …. whether they have a system or not. It helps to stay current with crime trends and security options.”

“with all the home security advertising, I think it can be somewhat confusing for people and your session helped to clear up some issues.”

Please click on the link below to reserve your spot on February 24th… a wine and cheese reception is at 6:45pm and the presentation starts at 7:00pm.

I have recently discovered this blog, and have found it to be a wealth of information. I have been looking into what I can do; from “bump-proof” locks, to augmenting my existing alarm system, to protecting my telephone line, and more. But, aside from the old stick-in-the-windowsill standby, what can I do about the weakest part of my house? You stated that I can put bars on the inside of my home, yet I don’t want to live in a “jail” like condition. To put window sensors on every single pane of glass throughout will be just far, far too expensive. Yet you state that motion sensors are not the answer because an intruder will already be within the house. So, aside from ‘the stick’, or stickers warning about my security system, or the motion dectors, what should I do? Thank you very much for your time.
